Vulcana Women’s Circus is committed to:

• Creating spectacular and innovative cultural events that inspire and entertain, developed in collaboration with a diverse range of community members and groups who are new to theatrical processes.
• Creating a playful and non-competitive environment for women and young people to explore their physical potential and to work at their own level.
• Creating opportunities to collaborate and develop exchanges with community groups to learn skills, and develop community identity and representations through devising and performance.
• Creating opportunities to improve models of delivering community cultural development and to experiment with processes for developing new performance work. This is achieved through collaborations with community organisations, professional development and participation in the broader community arts and circus arts sectors.
• Providing pathways for all its participants, from workshop entry to professional development, to support emerging artists and professionals to develop new creative endeavours.
