Since 1996 Vulcana has been taking circus workshops and performance-devising projects to marginalised communities of women and young people in and around Brisbane.

Community circus seeks to promote access to creative processes and community representation, to develop social cohesion and to provide tools for social change through the learning, teaching and performance of circus and physical theatre.

The development of this broad outreach program reflects the fundamental aims of Vulcana. The organisation is committed to supporting, inspiring and empowering participants from diverse backgrounds who have limited access to cultural expression.
