What do I Wear?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and go upside down in. Gym clothing is ideal.
For Aerial workshops it is a good idea to wear tights or some trousers that cover the back of your knees.
What do I Bring?
We suggest bringing bottled water and something light to snack on like nuts or a banana.
Can Friends and Family Stay and Watch a Class?
We welcome friends and family to stay and watch classes. Our main priority is that each child gets the most out of the class. As you know your child best, you'll know whether your presence in the room will support them, or distract them.
We recognise and appreciate that every child is different, and this is what we love about Vulcana Kids & Teens.
If you have any concerns, please come and talk to us about how to best support your child in class.
Age / Fitness Level
We encourage kids & teens to attend our classes no matter what their fitness level. Vulcana Kids & Teens students are very varied in age and fitness level. For age restrictions, please see our individual class pages.
Our classes provide a great alternative to traditional exercise in that students can work at their own level and have so much fun that they don’t notice they're exercising!
If you have concerns about fitness or have specific needs, please talk to us about what class is best.
What if I’m Having Trouble Paying?
Please talk to us if you are having trouble paying. We may be able to arrange a payment plan or your child may qualify for a Sponsored Place.
If your child misses a class, you may be able to organise a make-up class. Please contact us to talk about make-up classes.

Are Vulcana Kids & Teens Classes Girls Only?
No - our Vulcana Kids & Teens program is open to everyone. However, our 18+ Vulcademy Adult Workshops program is predominantly only open to people who identify as female, trans or non-binary genders. We are a feminist circus company, and this forms our approach to our work.
Vulcana Women’s Circus was formed in 1995 in response to the need to create a safe, non-competitive space where women could feel free to explore their physical potential. Vulcana recognizes that women have a different physical experience learning skills in a women only space. In this regard we endeavour to grow strong women and in doing so build strong communities.
