One Billion Rising

The event, part of One Billion Rising,a global movement created by Eve Ensler, was being coordinated by Vulcana Women’s Circus, in partnership with WaW Dance, NIA Australia and with the support of Brisbane Domestic Violence Service. The campaign asked people to join in public dance celebrations of strength and resistance, dancing together to raise awareness of the prevalence of domestic violence and celebrating collective effort to end it.
